George Takei on gay rights

TripmasterMonkey.com has a nice profile of "Star Trek" actor turned gay rights activist George Takei, who's now the spokesman for the Coming Out Project of the Human Rights Campaign. The money quote:

“In my own life, I have felt the discrimination that used to separate Japanese Americans from the rest of the country melt away,” Takei said in a press release from the Human Rights Campaign. “I believe that by sharing our stories GLBT Americans can break down the walls that separate us and help build a more understanding and truly diverse nation for us all.”
