The Asian American Justice Center, the Asian Pacific American Legal Center, and the National Federation of Filipino American Associations - Nevada will host a press briefing to launch a new demographic report on the growing Asian American and Pacific Islander community in Las Vegas. In the last decade, Nevada was the fastest growing Asian American and second fastest growing Pacific Islander population in the country. The release of the new report, A Community of Contrasts: Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States details this rapid growth, and examines both the contributions and the needs of this diverse population.

WHAT: Launch of a new report, A Community of Contrasts: Asian Americans and Pacific Islanders in the United States

WHEN: Monday, July 10, 2006 5:30 p.m. Reception and Registration 6:30 - 8:30 p.m. Program and Panel Discussion

WHERE: Clark County Flamingo Library - 1401 East Flamingo Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109

WHO: The briefing and panel will present the report's findings and discuss solutions to the problems facing the Las Vegas Asian American and Pacific Islander population.
