Ask Senator Inouye to support Ned Lamont

In an August 7 Honolulu Advertiser article, Senator Daniel Inouye pledged to support Joe Lieberman in an independent bid for the Senate even if Lieberman lost the Democratic Primary in Connecticut to Ned Lamont. Here's an excerpt:
... Inouye's explanation for sticking with Lieberman goes beyond friendship or courtesy.
"I am very concerned about a trend in my party," Inouye said in a statement. "It mirrors what has happened with the Republican Party, where one issue —such as abortion — is paramount in defining 'a good party member.'
Senator Inouye is a bona fide American hero and has earned our respect and support for his progressive stands on a variety of issues. But he's wrong about why Joe Lieberman lost his primary race against Ned Lamont. This was not a one-issue race. Lieberman's stands on
many issues -- from the Iraq War to Social Security to abortion rights to the right to criticize the President -- made him the wrong man for Connecticut Democrats.
Now is the ideal time to contact Senator Inouye to respectfully encourage him to support Ned Lamont -- the only Democrat running for the US Senate in Connecticut. Here's the contact information:
