UPDATE: If you're sickened by the Republican leadership's efforts to cover up the Foley scandal, here's another reason to support Duckworth: her opponent, Republican Peter Roskam, is appearing at a fundraiser with President Bush and Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert. From the AP:

While Bush and Hastert are able to raise a lot of money for the candidates and help encourage Republican voters to turn out on Election Day, Roskam and McSweeney risk turning off some voters by appearing with Bush in a state where he is especially unpopular and with Hastert when he is under fire for his handling of the Foley case.

Roskam's opponent, Democrat Tammy Duckworth, says Bush and Hastert's appearance at the fundraiser will remind voters that Roskam puts party politics first. She said voters have told her that they are concerned that the Republican leadership did not do more to protect the pages.
