Interestingly, Khan has focussed his campaign around criticism of a small business tax passed by the Republican-led Texas State Legislature. Similarly, in his bid for the US Congress, California Democrat T. J. Cox has been slamming his Republican opponent for the Bush Administration's fiscal deficits. Good for these Asian American Democrats for holding Republicans accountable in ways that make sense in these traditionally conservative districts.
