Your vote really, really, really matters in the Democratic primaries

It's Super Tuesday, which means why are you reading this? Go vote! And whether you're an Obama or a Clinton supporter, your vote absolutely matters. Why, you ask?
First, because the race is so tight and unpredictable. Just one example -- take a peek at the last two polls out of California -- Reuters/Zogby gives Obama a 13 point lead while Survey USA gives Clinton a 10 point lead. This could go either way -- it all depends on who gets to the voting booth.
Second, because this isn't a winner-take-all election -- the delegates for the Democratic Convention are given out on a proportional basis. So even if your candidate loses your state, your vote will help him or her rack up enough delegates to remain viable.
Poblano at Daily Kos has a write up of predictions for today's primaries. I'd recommend taking all predictions with a massive grain of salt, but the handy chart gives a good idea of what's at stake.
Finally, even if you're not a registered Democrat, you may be able to vote in the Democratic Primary in your state. From 2008central.net, here's a list of states with open primaries:
Alabama
Arkansas
Georgia
Illinois
Missouri
Minnesota
North Dakota
Tennessee
California and Utah are described as having "Semi Closed" primaries. According to
UTDemocrats.org, in Utah, you must be registered as Democratic or unaffiliated to vote in the Democratic Primary-- sorry all you Republican crossover voters!
In California, all an unaffiliated voter has to do is ask for a Democratic Primary ballot -- but be sure to fill in the bubble next to "Democratic" to ensure your vote is counted!
All right. My work here is done. Now go vote.
