Asian Pacific Americans for Progress looking for progressive bloggers
02.08.08 - Posted by AsiansVote
Just received the following note from Jenn Fang of Reappropriate.com regarding APAforProgress.org's search for guest bloggers:
Asian Pacific Americans for Progress is a grassroots, internet-empowered group of concerned Asian Americans whose mission it is to work towards progressive causes in the Asian American community.
As part of our mission, we strongly believe in using the growing blogosphere to encourage political participation and sociopolitical dialogue amongst Asian Americans. To that end, we have established a community blog at http://www.apaforprogress.org, which we hope will be a forum for the political voices of Asian Americans.
I am emailing to ask if you would be willing to become a guest blogger at the APAP blog. Responsibilities would be to post at least 1 post / week a post of your own writing on the intersection of Asian Americans and politics, pop culture, media, race or current events. Posts may be reproduced (i.e. cross-posted) from existing posts on your blog, and may be as long or as short as you’d like for them to be, and do not have to represent the views of APAP. Posts may include stubs of and links to existing content on your site. We recognize that guest-blogging on another site represents a drain on your time and we hope to accommodate you by helping to ensure that guest-blogged posts help to increase the visibility of your own site(s)/content.
If you are interested, or know someone who might be, or if you just have further questions, please contact me at jenn@reappropriate.com with your name/handle and your blog url. If you do not have a blog, please attach a writing sample. Also please help spread the word by re-distributing this email and/or re-posting this call for bloggers on your blog.
Thanks,
Jenn, http://www.reappropriate.com
